Recognised leadership in standards of responsible business conduct
High standards of business conduct are fundamental to our reputation and we are committed to becoming recognised as a leader in responsible business worldwide. The Woolf Committee report, published in May 2008, made 23 recommendations for improvement in this area. Our comprehensive implementation programme will act on all 23 within three years from the date of publication.
Chief Executive Ian King said: “We are committed to becoming recognised as a leader in responsible business conduct within the global business community. To realise this aspiration it is vital that we achieve the same degree of rigour and pursuit of continuous improvement in business conduct as we currently do in our financial and programme management. Our focus is total performance against every aspect of the way we do business.”
Dick Olver, Chairman, BAE Systems said; “Implementing the Woolf Report is of fundamental importance to how we do business now and in the future and it will derive benefits for our shareholders, employees & customers.”
